Question 1

Is this even legit?

Accepted Answer

Yes – the real estate industry is rapidly changing, and thousands of Americans are exploring their options when it comes to selling their house the fastest, easiest, and most transparent way. We offer an alternative for those who may not have the time or ability to list their house on the market for top dollar. We'll work with you to assess your situation, make you a transparent all-cash offer and close on your timeline.

Question 2

Will I get a low-ball offer?

Accepted Answer

Our goal is to provide you with the most fair offer possible. Unlike other buyers or the big tech giants, we're transparent with how we arrive at an offer amount. What we offer is based on what the value of the property may be once we make the necessary improvements and upgrades. We're entirely transparent with this offer process and happy to walk you through how it works.

Question 3

What if I don't need a fast closing?

Accepted Answer

At Hometeam Solutions, we work on your time frame. If you don't need a fast closing due to the need to make arrangements, explore your future options, or other reasons – we can schedule the closing on the day that works best for you.

Question 4

How fast is a fast closing?

Accepted Answer

After you send us information about your home, we can make you a no-obligation, fair-cash offer in as little as 24 hours. After that, we can close at a local, reputable title company in as little as 7 days. Compare that to the 30+ days it can take to close when listing your house the traditional way.

Question 5

What does all-cash offer mean?

Accepted Answer

All cash means exactly that – all cash! Because we are real estate investors who are purchasing your home directly, we don't rely on traditional financing like retail homebuyers. When you sell to us, there's no risk of financing falling through or closing being delayed. When we make you an offer, that's the full amount you'll receive.

Question 6

What does as-is mean?

Accepted Answer

We buy your Columbus home in as-is condition, meaning you don't have to worry about doing repairs, fixing your home up, or getting it ready for showings. We'll handle all repairs, inspections, etc. after we purchase your home. We'll factor this into our offer, but it saves you the money and the headache associated with getting your home ready to sell.

Question 7

Will you be listing my house on the MLS or actually buying it?

Accepted Answer

We're not agents, and we don't list houses. We are professional home buyers who buy houses in Columbus that meet our purchasing criteria. From there we may repair the house and resell it to another homeowner or keep it as a rental ourselves.

Question 8

Do you pay fair prices for properties?

Accepted Answer

Many of the houses we purchase are below market value so we can resell at a profit. However, many sellers appreciate that we offer cash, close very quickly with no waiting for financing, and no time, effort, or expense is required on your part to fix up the property or pay agent fees. Our no-obligation pricing commitment means you do not have to move forward with the offer we give – but it's good to know what we're offering.

Question 9

How do you determine the price to offer on my house?

Accepted Answer

Our process is very straightforward. We look at the location of the property, what repairs are needed, the current condition of the property, and values of comparable houses sold in the area recently. We take many pieces of information into consideration and come up with a fair price that works for us and works for you too.

Question 10

Are there any fees or commissions to work with you?

Accepted Answer

There are NO fees or commissions when you sell your house to us. We'll make you an offer, and if it's a fit then we'll buy your house and we'll often pay for the closing costs too. No hassle. No fees. We make our money after we pay for repairs on the house and sell it for a profit.

Question 11

How are you different from a real estate agent?

Accepted Answer

Real estate agents list properties and hope that someone will buy them, then take a percentage of the sale price if they find a buyer – typically 3-6% commission. We're not agents, we're home buyers. Our company actually buys houses directly. Since we're actually the one buying the house and we pay with all cash, we can make a decision to buy your house within a couple of days, sometimes the same day.

Question 12

Is there any obligation when I submit my info?

Accepted Answer

There is absolutely zero obligation for you. Once you tell us a bit about your property, we'll take a look at things, maybe set up a call to find out a bit more, and make you an all-cash offer that's fair for you and fair for us. From there, it's 100% your decision on whether or not you'd like to sell your house to us. We won't hassle you or harass you – it's 100% your decision.
